Denby Dale is the oldest brand in the 'cellar'. The Brand Cellar was first attracted to Denby Dale by its local history - a 220 year old tradition of baking and hand finishing of meat pies, with an award winning recipe. Pies were first baked in this south Yorkshire village back in 1788, and a tradition of baking celebration pies for special occasions (like Queen Victoria's Jubilee) has earned the local area the title of "The Pie Village".

The Brand Cellar has taken this local tradition and reinvented this much loved brand for new markets. Our new positioning and logo represents 'Yorkshireness' - what we call "honest to goodness" - good quality, natural food. The brand's personality is authentic, natural, fulfilling, indigenous, and to the point. In a further move, a new concept in quick service restaurants (QSRs) is being developed for the global market.

Denby Dale products are distinguished by their beautiful photography and great pride is taken in displaying real pies cooked in real kitchens.

We have also extended the brand into a range of new Denby Dale products including oven to tableware, with further licences available.
